Hidalgo Medical Services has completed the licensing process with the New Mexico Department of Health and will transition services for the Animas Valley Clinic to its new facility located at 1356 State HWY 9. We will begin seeing patients at the new location on December 19, 2023.  “The process for applying for federal funding to modernize the existing primary care clinic and to obtain final licensure on a new facility is complex and time-consuming,” stated Amanda Frost, MPH, HMS Chief Operating Officer. The NMDOH recently completed their site visit and has approved our Operator License, which allows us to open and begin seeing patients.  The new facility features two exam rooms, a procedure room, and a designated lab area.  “HMS is committed to providing primary care services to the residents living within the New Mexico Bootheel area. We are proud to be transitioning to a new state-of-the-art facility that will support a better experience for the individuals we serve,” stated Dr. Dan Otero, HMS CEO.

Patients receiving services at the new Animas location will have access to both Marlene Baska, PAC, and Ken Murphy, PAC, depending on the day of their appointment.
