SILVER CITY, N.M. – Continuing to increase the quality and quantity of healthcare in Hidalgo and Grant Counties, the nonprofit medical provider Hidalgo Medical Services welcomed five new providers to the medical and behavioral health staff today.
Joining HMS’ staff are board-certified family nurse practitioner, Tina Davis; board-certified internist, Dr. John Glick; advanced practice registered nurse, Snow Johnson; Chief Behavioral Health Officer and behavioral health therapist, Syl Manlove; and board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Shelly Verma.
Davis brings more than four years of clinical experience, particularly a strong background in both acute and chronic condition management. Davis’ medical expertise includes a wide range of procedures such as suturing, casting, splinting, cryotherapy, incision and drainage, punch biopsies, and trigger point injections.
With a strong ability to work independently, Davis efficiently manages patient intake and care flow while adapting quickly to dynamic clinical environments. Davis delivers high-quality, patient-centered care, which demonstrates her commitment to meaningful healthcare impact in every setting.
A board-certified internal medicine physician, Glick brings more than four decades of patient service, medical education, and healthcare leadership to the Hidalgo Medical Services team. During his years of medical service, Glick has built a reputation for clinical excellence, compassionate care, and a lifelong commitment to learning.
He earned his medical degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the UC Irvine Medical Center. He established a successful forty-year private practice before continuing his work at Mountain View Regional Medical Center and WellMed Las Cruces.
Glick has held numerous leadership roles throughout his career, including Chair of the Department of Medicine at Memorial Medical Center and President of the Dona Ana Medical Society. As a passionate educator, Glick has mentored medical, nursing, and clinical pharmacology students at New Mexico State University, the University of New Mexico, and the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine.
“I’m honored to join Hidalgo Medical Services and contribute to its powerful mission of delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to Grant and Hidalgo Counties,” said Glick. “I am excited to join a community that values compassion, collaboration, and service.”
A Chesapeake, Va., native, Johnson brings a strong commitment to patient care and community health to HMS. Earning an advanced nursing practice degree from Walden University, Johnson has embraced the dynamic world of locums work, which has given her the opportunity to travel and connect with diverse communities to provide care to individuals she might not have otherwise
encountered. Snow said each new assignment with enthusiasm as part of continuing her medical journey of meeting new people, learning from different environments, and making a meaningful difference wherever she goes.
