This Holiday Season, Hidalgo Medical Services (HMS) provided Angel trees in Grant and Hidalgo County. Hidalgo County clinics partnered with Lordsburg and Animas Public Schools to identify families in need. The Grant County Angel Tree was specifically for families of nominated employees from both counties, while the Senior Center Angel Trees catered to seniors in need in the same areas. HMS employees, community members, and patients had the opportunity to adopt an Angel from the tree and return a wrapped gift for either a child or a senior. After witnessing the incredible generosity of our staff, HMS also purchased items on the angels by adopting all remaining Angels on the tree. Through the Angel Trees, over 190 gifts were provided, and a total of 47 children and 35 seniors in Hidalgo and Grant County were reached. In addition to the Angel Trees, HMS partnered with Toys for Tots and set up a Toys for Tots box at all clinics and Senior Centers. With the help of our amazing staff and community members, we collected more than 34 toys. “We are so proud of our employees and community members for going above and beyond to support children in need during the Holidays,” stated Dr. Dan Otero, HMS’ CEO.
HMS strives to demonstrate our responsibility to serve our communities in ways that align with our mission, vision, and values. As a result of the generosity of our staff and community, over 116 lives were touched, and over 220 presents were gifted to children and seniors in our community. Thank you for your generous contributions and for providing joy and happiness to children and seniors in Hidalgo and Grant Counties!
