Silver City, New Mexico January 6, 2023: Hidalgo Medical Services (HMS) teamed up with Toys for Tots in Grant County and set up a Toys for Tots box at all Grant County clinics and Senior Centers. With the help of our amazing staff and community members, we collected more than 250 toys. In addition to Toys for Tots, we also provided two angel trees in Grant County and one in Hidalgo County. HMS partnered with local schools to help fill the need for children in our two counties. The HMS employees, community members and patients could adopt an Angel off the tree and return a wrapped gift for the child. After witnessing the incredible generosity of our staff, HMS then matched the toys and angels by adopting all remaining Angels on the tree. Through the Angel Trees, we provided for 39 children in Hidalgo and Grant County and 160 gift boxes were given. “We are so proud of our employees and community members for going above and beyond to support children in need during the Holidays,” stated Dr. Dan Otero, HMS’ CEO.
