“Small town feel, big time adventure! Discover the Gila National Forest’s 3.3 million acres of adventure”
At HMS, we’re building more than a workforce, we’re cultivating a community of purpose‑driven professionals committed to advancing health and wellness across Southwest New Mexico.

For more than 30 years, we’ve proudly served our region as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), ensuring every individual has access to high‑quality, compassionate care regardless of their ability to pay.

Rooted in our values of service, culture, education, community, and excellence, HMS is dedicated not only to exceptional patient care but also to supporting the people who make it possible: our employees.
"It is a rare thing indeed to find an environment where you feel appreciated, supported and valued. Words cannot begin to express how grateful I am to work with such genuinely kind and loving people, both patients and colleagues alike."

- Mary Gillogley, Patient Specialist

Driven by Purpose. United by Community.

As an FQHC, our mission extends far beyond clinical care, it’s about strengthening communities, advancing health equity, and making a lasting difference close to home. HMS team members play a vital role in supporting families, expanding access to care, and helping shape the future of rural health.

This work matters. And according to national FQHC data from NACHC, careers in community health centers offer professionals the chance to create real, measurable impact in underserved areas—impact you can see every day at HMS.

"Working at HMS means being part of a supportive team that truly values collaboration, respect, and the people behind the work. I feel empowered to make a meaningful impact every day. HMS fosters a positive, inclusive environment where employees are encouraged to grow, contribute, and feel valued. It’s a place where your work matters and your voice is heard”
