Hidalgo Medical Services (HMS) is proud to serve the Mimbres Community by providing medical services through our Mimbres Valley Clinic and has done so in varying degrees for many years. In 2021, HMS had the opportunity to apply for and receive grant funding to purchase a modular building to upgrade the facilities in Mimbres and provide a better experience for our patients. Since then, we have been working through federal and state processes to receive funding, purchase a modular building, and set up the modular building in a new location while simultaneously working with our current landlord.

As of the writing of this article, we have found a location for the modular building, and the building has been delivered. We have encountered delays with utilities complicated by state processes and are diligently working through that. We have been in close contact with our current landlord, so the current facility will continue to be used once the clinic closes.

To maintain that collaboration and continue to benefit the Mimbres Community, HMS will be closing the Mimbres Valley clinic in its current location so that the new tenants of the building can begin moving in. We will see our last patient at that facility on January 24, 2024.

We are working as quickly as possible to complete the setup of the new facility to continue seeing patients. The new modular building boasts two exam rooms, a procedure room, and a designated lab draw area, enhancements our patients will benefit from. We are excited to offer the Mimbres community the same great care they have received but in a more modern facility.
