April 1, 2021COVID-19 Updates
As of this week HMS has given out a total of 1,724 COVID-19 vaccines in Grant and Hidalgo County. New Mexico has recently opened up Phase 1a, b, and c. We will be deploying the mobile unit every Tuesday and Thursday to rural areas to distribute vaccines. We have done this by setting up “pods” in these locations using the NMDOH website. Please continue to encourage people to register for with the DOH. In Grant County we have roughly 23,111 residents. Out of those, 12,481 (54%) people are registered with the DOH to receive their vaccine and 10, 564 (45.7%) of those have received at least their first vaccine. In Hidalgo county we have roughly 3,388 residents. Out of those, 1,601 (47.3%) people are registered with the DOH to receive their vaccine and 1,138 (33.6%) of those have received at least their first vaccine. Please continue to encourage our community to register for their vaccine through the website or registration hotline: Click Here

If a patient is having difficulty registering through the website or phone number, Family Support Services has been doing an incredible job taking the time to help these individuals register over the phone. We can also to help people register on the mobile unit!
