Hidalgo Medical Services has been recognized by HRSA Earning National Quality Improvement Awards.

HMS is honored to receive top National Quality Leader recognitions in three award areas from Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).  HMS is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving residents in Hidalgo and Grant Counties.

HMS has earned the significant “Health Center Quality Leader (HCQL) award.” National Quality Leaders are ranked in the top 10% of all health centers in one or more of the clinical quality measures. HMS achieved this top overall clinical performance rating among all health centers, being recognized in the top tier, known as the Gold Tier, for clinical quality measures. 

Another recognition received by HMS is the “Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality award.” This award recognizes health centers that optimized HIT services, for advancing telehealth, patient engagement, interoperability, and collection of social determinants of health, to increase access to care and advance quality of care.   

The “Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition” was also awarded to HMS. This recognition means that the quality health center encompasses five core functions: 1) Comprehensive Care, 2) Patient-Centered Care, 3) Coordinated Care, 4) Accessible Services, and 5) Quality and Safety.
