Health Center Quality Leader Award

HRSA 2019 Silver Quality Award

Recognized with the HRSA 2019 Silver Quality Award: Health Center Quality Leader achieved the best overall clinical performance among all health centers and achieved Silver (top 11-20%) for clinical quality measures (CQMs) in 2018.
HMS was also recognized as a Clinical Quality Improver having demonstrated at least 15% improvement on a clinical quality measure (CQM from 2017 to 2018. HMS had three measures that met this criteria.
HMS was also the Best in New Mexico in four (4) clinical quality measures (CQMs) compared to all FQHCs in New Mexico.

Recognized as a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH): Health centers with PCMH recognition in one or more delivery sites. HMS has the PCMH recognition at all delivery sites.

Pinon Award

New Mexico Performance Excellence Awards (NMPEA) 2017 and 2019 Piñon Recipient: HMS achieved this award as part of the NMPEA Program, which is New Mexico’s only awards program based on the Malcolm Baldrige Framework for Performance Excellence. The recipients are focused on long term process improvement, sustainability, efficiency and excellence.

Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care

Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)

Full 3-year accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC): The accreditation means a thorough, on-site survey by AAAHC surveyors, who are themselves health care professionals, and that HMS participates in on-going self-evaluation, peer review and education to continually improve its care and services.
